The standards maintained by Viva are-

1. NFPA 285 – 2019 Edition

The test was conducted on Viva 7 Star FR B1. The result of this test came out as ‘Passed’. The parameter of the test was that the flames should not reach on the second floor and 5 feet distance from the centre of the window vertically, the flames should also not reach the second story testing room and the thermocouple temperature should not cross 1000 Degree F.

2. EN-13501:2018 & ASTM D1929-16

In order to test the reaction to the fire test, a few other tests are conducted for ensuring a fire-free product. EN 13501-1-2018 was conducted as a product test on single burning and the reaction to fire. It passed with B-s1,d0. Whereas, the ASTM D 1929-16 was conducted on the product for determining the ignition temperature of plastics. The results showed a spontaneous ignition temperature of STI: 452℃(842℉) and a flash ignition temperature of FTI: 429℃(824℉). These tests were done on the same product as the NFPA 285’s system test i.e. Viva 7 Star FR B1.

The test results showed that there was low flammability which will help in evacuation and help save lives. Further, Viva 7 Star FR B1 generates low smoke, has zero burning droplets, delays the flame to spread, and releases no toxic fumes in the atmosphere. Therefore, this product minimizes the losses in case of fire, thus making it a fire retardant ACP sheet that is safe for use.
