Yes, ACP sheets are waterproof. The aluminium skins and PVDF/PE coating create a moisture-impervious surface that does not absorb water, swell, or degrade with water exposure. ACP panels are ideal for exterior facades, monsoon-prone regions, and humid environments. However, proper sealing of panel joints with weather-grade silicone sealant is essential for a watertight facade system.
ACP panels are inherently waterproof — aluminium does not absorb water, and the PVDF/PE coating creates a sealed surface. Unlike wood (swells), tiles (grout absorbs water), or cement board (needs waterproofing), ACP requires no additional waterproof treatment.
