For exterior cladding, PVDF-coated ACP with 70% KYNAR 500 resin is the best choice. VIVA recommends 4mm PVDF panels for standard exteriors and 4mm/6mm FR A2+ ACCP for buildings above 15 meters. The Solid & Metallic, Natural Stone, Premium Marble, and Mirage Fluted series are the most popular for exterior facades.
Exterior ACP selection depends on four factors: coating type (must be PVDF, not PE), thickness (4mm minimum for exterior), fire rating (FR B1 or FR A2+ based on building height), and aluminium skin thickness (0.50mm recommended for exterior).
PE (Polyester) coating fades within 3-5 years in sunlight. PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) with 70% KYNAR 500 resin retains 90%+ colour and gloss for 25+ years. VIVA uses Korean precision lamination for consistent PVDF quality. Never use PE coating for any exterior application.
Buildings under 15m: FR B1 (mineral core) is acceptable per NBC 2016.
Buildings above 15m: FR A2+ ACCP (aluminium corrugated core) is mandatory. VIVA's FR A2+ ACCP is the first Thomas Bell-Wright certified panel in India.
Solid & Metallic — clean, modern metallic facades. Natural Stone — granite/marble texture for premium buildings. Premium Marble — luxury marble effect. Mirage Fluted — dimensional depth for signature facades. Desert Series — earthy tones for hot-dry climates. Lustre — matte metallic for contemporary architecture.
An Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) is a flat panel consisting of two thin coil-coated aluminium sheets bonded to a non-aluminium core material, typically polyethylene (PE), mineral-filled fire-retardant (FR), or aluminium honeycomb. ACP panels are used for building facades, signage, interiors, and architectural cladding due to their lightweight, weather resistance, and design versatility.
Read full answer →ACP stands for Aluminium Composite Panel. It is also referred to as ACM (Aluminium Composite Material) or ACCP (Aluminium Composite Core Panel) for fire-rated variants. VIVA manufactures standard ACP, FR B1 fire-rated ACP, and FR A2+ ACCP with aluminium corrugated core.
Read full answer →Yes, ACP sheets are waterproof. The aluminium skins and PVDF/PE coating create a moisture-impervious surface that does not absorb water, swell, or degrade with water exposure. ACP panels are ideal for exterior facades, monsoon-prone regions, and humid environments. However, proper sealing of panel joints with weather-grade silicone sealant is essential for a watertight facade system.
Read full answer →PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) is a high-performance coating used on ACP panels for exterior applications. Made with 70% KYNAR 500 resin, PVDF coating provides 25+ year colour retention, superior UV resistance, chemical resistance, and self-cleaning properties. VIVA uses PVDF coating on all exterior-grade ACP panels manufactured on Korean precision lamination lines.
Read full answer →VIVA ACP sheets are available in standard sizes of 1220mm × 2440mm (4×8 ft), 1220mm × 3050mm (4×10 ft), and 1220mm × 3660mm (4×12 ft). Wide panels of 1500mm width are also available. Custom lengths up to 6000mm can be manufactured on request for large-scale projects.
