Another incident of fire broke out on the high-rise in Airoli at Mahavir Plaza. To put out the fire, it was required to call for five water jets from Airoli, Rabale MIDC, and Nerul. Though no casualties have been reported it calls to attention the requirement of Fire Retardant or Flame Retardant ACP (FR A1 | B1 | B2). FR Cladding has been added as renewed regulations for construction

    What is Cladding Material

Cladding is a material which is applied around and outside a building to improve appearance and energy efficiency. Colorful red and green panels are designed to soften and improve the insulation of buildings and structures

Why invest in Flame Retardant ACP materials?

If you follow our Social Media regularly, we updated the Mayor of Mumbai, Mr. Vishwanath Mahadeshwar, visit Viva’s Booth at International Trade Fair On Façades & Products when he discussed our Flame Retardant Product & New Stone Series and discussed the importance of Flame Retardant ACPs in the safety of people in Corporates and Housing.

How does Flame Retardant ACP’s help?

In case of a fire, you want to know that the walls of your house will protect you while your family seeks safety. Fire burns wood, and melts vinyl, or uPVC, almost instantly. Viva ACP material coated with Flame Retardant cladding will not ignite when exposed to a direct flame, nor will it contribute fuel to a fire.

Viva’s FR A2+, A2 And B cladding, weatherboards and building facades are non-combustible, compared to wood cladding and UPVC cladding. With a high density and dimensional stability, the aluminium panel sheet or ACP is naturally resistant to adverse events such as fire, and extreme weather conditions and is fireproof and waterproof.

Our cladding is used all over the world, including in fire-prone areas where our products are specified to help resist fire attacks from burning embers, radiant heat or flame contact.

As we have our own Colour Coating line, we can manufacture this material in any color and quantity, so one doesn’t have to compromise on looks when prioritizing safety.

In the infamous case of Grenfell Tower in Kensington, West London, Cladding was included as part of a £ 9 million refurb completed in May 2017.

The material used in the cladding on Grenfell was the cheaper, more flammable version of the two available options.

Fireproof cladding initially planned for Grenfell was reportedly downgraded so the council could save money.
Such a decision eventually cost the lives of many innocent.

Without proper precautions, fire can claim lives, destroy property, and leave chaos and devastation in its wake.

Whether you’re a Business Owner, Builder or Architect, you’re required to keep the threat of fire minimal by Government Regulations and Duty of Care.

Our experience with Fire Retardant or Flame Retardant ACPs means we can reduce the threat of fire costing you money – or worse – and protect you from potential damage and litigation.
