Viva launches Corten Steel Series as ACP for Exterior Façades

With a commitment to being at the forefront of innovation in the ACP industry, Viva has launched the “Corten Steel” series. The new series brings the much celebrated and widely used corten steel finishes in ACPs. From a rusty orange burn to a textured silvery glaze – the Corten Steel ACPs are an asset to the interior as well as exterior décor.

The natural ageing of high strength steel causes the steel to turn rusty over the years. However, this process of weathering of steel takes a long time, which in turn increases the cost of the material used in architectural projects. Chemically fastening this natural process of oxidation of steel, again, raises the project-cost. Though popular in use, it needed much effort to accomplish a Corten Steel Exterior look for large scale commercial projects.

With Premium corten steel finish and the multiple advantages of aluminium composites sheets, we launch the “Corten Steel Series”.

ACPs have multiple advantages over steel some of which are :

Comparatively inexpensive
Easier application
The Required strength of the supporting installation is lower
Weather tested and durable
Highly flexible and can be bent till up to 90 degrees

Last December, we launched sixteen shades of "Metal Abstract" and "Corten Steel" at the ZAK Expo in Delhi, among much fanfare. The aim of the launch was to serve the growing trend of Corten Steel finish panels in an affordable manner. Over the last two months we have seen a surge in the projects that demand the corten steel look all over India – from Delhi to Kerala – and what's more, architects and owners have appreciated the final look of the building.

Since Viva Composite Panel is the highest production capacity in India to cater entirely Indian territories as well as abroad, we take pride over our alignment with the "Make in India" initiative of the government. With this promise, we can serve a huge demand from our Umbergaon plant which has two Colour Coating Lines equipped with 6 Production Lines with a total production capacity of 7 Million Sq. Mtr. per annum – approx. 2.50 Lakh Sq. Ft. per day.

The Corten Steel shades in ACP serves a growing demand of highlight décor and architecture on the lines of rustic design, and with recent feedback and reviews, we think we have achieved what was expected at the launch of the series.
